IMPORTANT:
You can only reset your password or recover your username if you have already configured your SignOn account. This can be found at https://signon.pfeiffer.edu/ and must be configured with two possible recovery options, as follows: set a recovery email other than your Pfeiffer email; set your mobile number. If you have not configured any of these two options, please consult the Pfeiffer Password and Username Configuration Guide. Beginning April 1st, 2024, Pfeiffer University will be implementing a new password policy. This policy increases the length and complexity of all Pfeiffer account passwords, but also allows for them to never expire once they meet requirements. |
If you have already configured your recovery options, then please follow the instructions below.
1. You can recover your username and reset your password by using our new password manager tool.
i. If you forgot your password, click on the "Forgot Password" link.
ii. If you forgot your username, click on the "Forgot Username" link.
2. If you clicked on the Forgot Password link, you will need to enter your Pfeiffer Logon Name, and then click submit.
(Employees = FirstName.LastName or Students = Student ID)
If you clicked on the Forgot Username link, you will need to enter your personal email, and then click submit.
(Not your Pfeiffer email address)
3. When you are resetting your password, you will be prompted with 2 options.
Option 1: Send Me an Email
- Select "Send me an Email,"
- Select configured secondary (personal) e-mail and click submit
- A verification/security code will be sent to your personal email
- Enter the verification code as prompted, and then click submit
Option 2: Send me a Text Message
- Select "Send me a text"
- Confirm your cell phone number and click submit
- A verification/security code will be sent to your cell phone
- Enter the verification code as prompted, and then click submit
4. Once your identity is validated, you will be asked to create a new password. Your password must have the following minimum requirements. Once these requirements are met, your password will never expire during your time at Pfeiffer.
- Be at least twelve (12) characters in length
- Cannot be a password previously used
- Cannot contain words that can be found in a dictionary.
- Must contain the following categories:
- English uppercase characters (A through Z)
- English lowercase characters (a through z)
- Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
- Symbols
5. You will receive a confirmation screen when your password is successfully reset.
