Employee Email Access
- Email access for all faculty and staff will be terminated upon notification from the Human Resource Office.
Employee Email Purge Period
- Employee email accounts will be purged 30 days after their access to email has been terminated.
Student Email Purge Periods
- Graduating student email accounts will be purged 210 days after their last grade was entered.
- Students who transfer or pass away will have their email accounts purged 90 days after their last grade was entered.
- Students with no “Exit” reason will have their email accounts purged 330 days after their last active enrolled date.
- Student Intern email accounts will be purged 60 days following their last active enrollment in the course.
Legal Holds
- For legal reasons, there may be instances where the above purging statements do not apply. Email accounts and their contents may be kept for varying lengths of time depending on the context of the situation.
- Under all circumstances including legal holds, email accounts must be purged no later than two years after a business need.
