How to install Office 365

Pfeiffer offers the Office 365 suite to all students, faculty, and staff for no charge. To install Office 365, please follow the instructions below.

  1. Go to office.com
  2. Click Sign in
  3. On the Sign in screen, enter (or choose) your Pfeiffer email address
  4. Click Next
  5. Enter your Pfeiffer username and password
  6. Click Sign in
  7. In the upper right hand corner, click Install and more. You will be presented with three options:
  • Install Microsoft 365 apps: This takes you to your My account page, where you can choose to Install Office, review the other apps available in your subscription, and review your authorized devices. Click Install Office to download the full set of popular Office titles: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote. 
  • Explore your AppsThis allows you to view all available apps. Click on any from this page and you will access the web version of the app. 
  • Install the Microsoft 365 mobile app: This provides a QR code to scan that will take you to the Microsoft 365 app on the App Store/Google Play Store.
  1. Double-click the downloaded installation file
  2. Follow the onscreen prompts, and sign in with your Pfeiffer email address and Pfeiffer username and password when asked
